Now I may ask a stupid question here, but I thought that would entitle me to get to download music without paying for each song? Posted on Nov 7, PM. It makes sense in the same way as having an Amazon Prime subscription lets you watch all of the Amazon Prime videos you want, it doesn't let you download the ones that aren't Amazon prime for free. Or having a library card lets you take out all the books you want from the library but doesn't let you walk into a bookstore and take what you want for free. You're paying Apple a monthly fee to listen to music for as long as you keep paying that fee. Once you stop paying, you lose access to that music. Music you buy from the iTunes Store is yours to keep. That's part of the reason they're two separate apps.
